Allan Grigg,[1] also known as Kool Kojak, is a Brazilian-American songwriter, producer and artist notable for co-writing and co-producing Flo Rida’s #1 Billboard[2] hit single “Right Round”.[3] Kool Kojak has written and produced for artists such as Ke$ha, Travis Barker, Three 6 Mafia, Master P, Gorilla Zoe, Matisyahu, Katy Perry, Bobby Brown, Pauly D, Victoria Justice, The Offspring, N.A.S.A.,[4] Dirt Nasty, Andy Milonakis,[5] Mickey Avalon, Ursula 1000,[6] Miranda Cosgrove and Warren G. Kool Kojak is currently a featured producer on the Simon Cowell TV program X Factor.

Early life and music career

Kool Kojak was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, also known as Wormtown. Kool Kojak initially entered the world of music producing rap records in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Harlem. His first big commercial success was as composer and producer of the Brazilian multi platinum selling #1 Supla album "O Charada Brasileiro".[7]

Kojak served as musical director and performer for the live Supla show, which took the stage at Rock in Rio 3, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2001.

Art

Kool Kojak is a renowned graffiti artist in the USA and Brazil. His body of art includes an album cover for Ultramagnetic MCs and countless New York City murals he painted for Free Tibet Campaign. In Brazil, Kool Kojak has provided hiphop and graffiti symposiums for city run youth programs in the Favelas of São Paulo. He has painted murals with many of Brazil’s top artists, such as Os Gêmeos, Vitche, and Juneca.
